Michelle L. Widmeier, DC, CAc | Board Certified Chiropractor and Medical Acupuncture
Michelle L. Widmeier, DC has been studying and working in the field of holistic medicine for more than 20 years. She received her doctorate in chiropractic medicine from the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic in Connecticut and is dually licensed in the states of Connecticut and New York. Dr. Widmeier also holds a fellowship Certificate in Medical Acupuncture and Mechanical Diagnosis Therapy. When not working at her practice, Dr. Widmeier serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic and is the Tournament Chiropractic Physician for the Connecticut Open Professional Tennis Tournament, where she has been treating some of the world’s best tennis players since 2009.
In order to provide patients with the most comprehensive care, Dr. Widmeier utilizes a variety of specialized myofascial bodywork techniques, acupuncture and mind-body techniques including:
Active Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, Structural Integration (Rolfing), Alexander Technique, and Graston (IASTM);
Neurofeedback (EEG) Mind Training;
Acupuncture Dry-Needling, Cupping, among others.
In addition to building her private practices in Westport, CT and New York, NY, she also previously worked as a treating chiropractic physician in the Outpatient facility at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in White Plains, NY. Prior to dedicating her studies to holistic medicine, Dr. Widmeier studied architecture and engineering, and later worked for Ralph Lauren Corporation for nine years.
As a practitioner committed to helping patients achieve balance across mind, health and body, Dr. Widmeier puts this into practice daily through a dedicated meditation and yoga practice.
